Loyalty programme for hair and beauty salons

Lecy is a loyalty programme for hair and beauty salons that replaces the stamp card with an NFC tag placed at reception: the client holds up her phone when paying and her point is added, with no app and no card to keep.

An appointment every six weeks, a card lost in between: exactly the case where the paper card does not work.

The stamp card does not survive six weeks

A salon runs at the pace of spaced-out appointments: four to eight weeks between two visits. It is the worst possible interval for a physical card. The card ends up at the bottom of a bag, in a winter coat, or in the bin with the receipt.

When the client comes back without her card, you can either refuse her stamps (bad moment) or give her a new one, which defeats the point of the programme. Either way, the programme measures nothing and retains no one.

The counter is in the phone, not in the bag

With Lecy, there is nothing to keep. The counter is tied to the client’s phone, which she always has with her. Six weeks later, she holds her phone to the tag at reception and finds her points where she left them.

You set the reward and the threshold: a free treatment every five services, a discount on the sixth colour, a product from the range after ten visits.

Nothing to do at checkout

Checkout in a salon is already a busy moment: booking the next appointment, selling products, taking payment. Adding a phone number entry and a text confirmation there is hardly sustainable.

The tag asks nothing of your team. The client uses it while you write down the next appointment.

Google reviews at the right moment

A client leaving the hairdresser satisfied is in the best frame of mind to leave a review, and it is precisely the moment when nobody dares to ask. The page confirming her point asks for you, without anyone having to say it.

And if she has something to tell you, she can tell you in private, in your back office.

Frequently asked questions

What happens if a client changes phone?

Her Lecy access key, validated by Face ID or fingerprint, moves with her to her new phone: she finds her points again. Otherwise, you can adjust her points manually from your account.

Can I set an expiry date for points?

Yes. You choose a validity period, three months or a year for instance. Unused points then expire automatically.

Can I reward something other than a free service?

Yes. The reward is free text: a free treatment, a discount, a product, a hair diagnosis. You define it and you hand it over.

What if a client does not have a compatible smartphone?

Over 95% of smartphones read NFC. For the other cases, you add the point by hand from your dashboard, in a few seconds.
