The Lecy blog
The simplest loyalty on the market. The proof.
The whole deployment comes down to one gesture: the shopkeeper places the tag at the till. The whole use comes down to another: the customer holds up their smartphone. There is no shorter journey, and this blog proves it, article by article, facts in hand.
- No screen to add
- No app
- Nothing to type
- No card
- No till integration
- No training
- Nothing for the team to do
- No spam
The proof, in eight articles
The simplest loyalty there is for a physical shop, demonstrated point by point: what the shopkeeper does (place a tag), what the customer does (hold up a phone), what the technology does in their place, and the spirit that holds it all together.
- Deploying Lecy: place the tag at the till, and that is it
- Customer side: hold up the phone, open the link, done
- Dynamic NFC: a unique, short-lived link at every scan
- Your terms, your rewards, your colours: Lecy's flexibility
- Google reviews asked at the right moment, from a satisfied customer
- The network cockpit: every point of sale in real time
- Lecy versus other solutions: every comparison question
- The Lecy way: put yourself in the customer's shoes
Lecy in brief, what to remember
Lecy is an NFC-tag loyalty solution for physical shops and networks. The customer holds their phone to the tag at the till and opens the link: they earn one point per visit, in one second. Every scan generates a unique, encrypted, short-lived link, tamper-proof proof of presence, where a QR code can be photographed and shared.
The simplest to deploy: just place the tag. No screen or hardware to add, no till integration, no training. A whole network rolls out by shipping tags. The simplest to use: the team never intervenes, neither to award points nor to ask for reviews. The customer downloads nothing, types nothing, receives no spam: one Face ID or fingerprint confirmation the first time, then every point is added automatically.
Beyond points: the customer's feedback asked at the right moment (negative, it stays private; positive, it becomes a rewarded Google review), a programme in the shop's colours, and news visible at every scan, by text only if the customer asks. Loyalty is the product; marketing is only an option. From €35 a month per point of sale, no commitment. To see the tap for real: the contact page.

NFC, the gesture your customers already make to pay
In 2023, nearly seven in ten card payments in shops were contactless, and phone payments almost doubled in a year. The Lecy tag asks for exactly that gesture. What it changes for your customers, device by device, age by age, and what is planned for the rare case.

Reward the visit, not the amount: the Starbucks lesson
In 2016, Starbucks moved from one star per visit to stars per dollar: a $2 coffee went from 12 to 30 visits for the same reward, and customers responded in numbers. The research says why: what brings people back is the count of visits and the nearness of the threshold, not the size of the bill. Which shops it is the right choice for.

Anonymous by default, reachable by choice: the customer file according to Lecy
A consumer belongs to nearly 18 loyalty programmes and uses only half of them. Three in four will not buy from a company they do not trust with their data. Lecy asks nothing to give a point, and that is why most people join; those who want your news or a reminder leave their details, and they are happy to be there.

Your loyalty budget, in real time: points given, gifts paid for
A loyalty programme costs what its rewards cost, and it earns what the customers it keeps earn: retaining 5% more customers can nearly double the profits of a service business. Lecy measures both sides in real time, per site, without reading the till. What you track, what you compare, what you adjust.

The tap takes the time of the payment, not a second more
Six French shoppers out of ten find it unacceptable to wait more than five minutes at the till, and three out of four have already walked out of a shop because of the queue. The customer pays with their phone and holds it to the tag in the same movement: the tap takes nobody’s time. What that changes in a bakery at noon, and why it is also the right gesture in a salon where there is time to spare.

The visit to the till is the only proof that counts: understanding proof-of-presence loyalty
A loyalty point is only worth something if it matches a real visit. Lecy awards points on tamper-proof NFC proof of presence: the tap at the counter. Here is why this technical detail changes the whole economics of a programme.

Per visit or per spend? The Starbucks lesson
