A Parisian house: 350 members and 60 Google reviews in four months

Launched on the day the shop opened, the programme built in one quarter what most shops take years to obtain: a base of regulars and a Google profile that carries weight. How it unfolded, with the figures.

A shop opening is the best moment to launch a loyalty programme, and the worst moment to manage one more project. Everything has to be done, the team is discovering its till system, the days run twelve hours. It was in this context that a Parisian house deployed Lecy: precisely because it was the only solution that asked nothing of them.

Day 1: a tag on the counter

The NFC tag, in the house's colours, placed next to the till on opening day. No other work: no integration with the brand-new till system, no instructions to give to an already overloaded team. The first customers in the shop's history tapped the tag from day one.

Four months later

350 members signed up and 60 Google reviews, for a shop starting from zero on both counts. Every sign-up happened at the till, in one second, without a single member of the team having to suggest, explain or validate anything.

The detail that matters: those 60 reviews arrived steadily, week after week, at the real pace of customers passing through the till. For Google's local algorithm, this steady flow of fresh reviews on a new profile is a strong signal: the house's profile settled into local searches within a quarter, where most new addresses stay invisible for a year.

Why an opening is the ideal moment

  • Every customer is new: the programme captures 100 % of the flow from day one, at the moment when each converted customer is worth the most.
  • The Google profile is blank: the first reviews make the whole digital first impression. Getting them quickly and well is decisive.
  • No habit to change: the tap is part of the till ritual from the start, for customers and for the team alike.

The lesson goes beyond openings: the best moment to launch an effortless loyalty programme is any time, since it asks nothing. But if you are opening a point of sale, day one is when the tag should go down.
